2 days until my honeymoon

Can't believe our honeymoon is so close! I just finished watching Rachael Ray's $40 a day visiting Rome and got some really good trips! I love watching travel channel. I even one time had applied to be a host of a tv show on travel channel for newlyweds/allergy sufferers , guess they did not like my idea...oh well! Made some important phone calls to the cruise line and emailed the hotel in Barcelona about dietary issues. Working on thank you cards and drawing today. Can't wait for my hubby to get home!

Marianne and Jeff's wedding

Just got back from Marianne and Jeff's wedding weekend! It was held at Olde Mill Inn. I just wanted to congratulate Marianne and Jeff on their fabulous wedding! I still remember the day Marianne introduced me to Jeff and wanted my approval, she couldn't have picked a greater guy! They really compliment each other and are always so caring with each other. Marianne looked so beautiful in her wedding gown! I was in the bridal party and she was in mine. Tomorrow they leave for Disneyworld and thursday we leave for Barcelona, I couldn't think of a more adorable and loving couple then Marianne and Jeff! Mazel Tov!

Starting my nonprofit

I've had this idea in the back of my head for a long time about starting a nonprofit...and I think its about time I actually do something about it! I worked on the mission statement yesterday and now i'm just waiting on some drafts to come back with editing. Then its working on bilaws on friday all day! I can't wait when I have my name, website, and everything registered. Then all I'll really need is investors and people to help me bring my concept to different middle and high schools in the tri-state area!

Gluten free

I self-diagnosed myself several months ago as having a gluten intolerance/celiacs, still haven't been tested officially but I feel so much better. I've begun eating raw, and vegan foods as well as a lot more tofu. One of my new favorite places is One Lucky Duck. I especially like their pumpkin salad and lemonade. Some other great gluten free places I like in NYC are: Everybody eats (great banana bread, and deli rolls), Babycakes (excellent cupcakes, cinnamon buns, and muffins)
My favorite gluten free products to cook with are: Chebe Cinnamon rolls and Jules Gluten free flour. I've found the best bread to be made by Glutino, along with their bread crumbs. I love K too's oreo like cookies and Lucy's chocolate chip cookies since I am a cookie aholic! Whole foods has been great with getting all my gluten free goodies since Gristedes and Food emporium tend not to carry almost anything gluten free. Our favorite gluten free dinner foods include: Littles (spinach, sweet potato, and broccoli), Potato crusted fish sticks, Ian's turkey corndogs, Tofu, (Chicken and Fish from Costco), Feel free to post your favorites.

Getting Married

Sweeterthansuga and LilLoveable's wedding (our jdate names) we'd been together over 3 1\2 years!
I had been planning my wedding for over a year. (Booking the florist, caterer, making sure the wedding cake was amazing both design and flavor, band, etc) And now that its done, I sort of want to do it all over again lol. The rehearsal dinner was a great beginning to my wedding weekend. I LOVED my dress (Thank you Shelley) I had been wanting a fashionista dress for awhile and this was definitely IT! After the rehearsal dinner we (the bridal party and David and myself) went to a bar named . It was such an awesome rooftop bar perfect for our last night before we got married. We got home around 12ish and went to bed around 1am perfect for the night before my big day!
I got up around 8ish stayed in bed until 9ish and then began getting ready for my wedding. Hair appointment was at 11:30 and makeup was at 1:30. My mom, David's mom, and I got our hair done at De-Al Salon in Great Neck, we were done about 1. We then headed to Sephora in the Americana to get our makeup done. What a perfect makeup, definitely my favorite makeover of all time!
I started getting ready for the wedding 3:20 the photographer started taking pictures of me 3:30 and David got there for his first look of his bride picture at 3:35. He looked so handsome, I couldn't believe I was marrying someone so attractive and sweet. We then took tons of pictures around the Claremont (the hotel room, the library, fireplace, stairs) then we headed to the park by Bryant Library, then eventually the temple. By the time we got there all the bridal party was there along with our families. We started taking pictures with our families, and bridal parties. Next came the walk through and then the ketubah signing. The ketubah signing was amazing and I felt so happy to be doing this tradition with David.
Once the music started I knew I was getting married, it really hit me while I was waiting at my secret entrance into the ceremony for my walk down the aisle. I loved the songs we picked for the ceremony "Your song (Elton John), and Can you feel the love tonight (The Lion King).'
The whole ceremony was actually a lot less nerve racking then I thought it would be. Next was our 10 or so minutes of relaxation as husband and wife in my bridal suite in the temple. This was especially nice because we got some food from the Cocktail hour, and we got time to talk about what was going on. My attendant fixed my train and we went out to greet all our guests. Being that the cocktail hour is normally the time you greet everyone and thank them for coming we tried to circle ourselves around the room but really if given the chance again I would just sit a table by the door to the cocktail hour with some food and have everyone come up to us, that would have made it a lot easier especially with "someone" trying to get food while I was trying to get to all the tables.
After the cocktail hour came the most lively event of the whole evening...the reception! Since everything was held at the temple it was easy to just walk in while we were being announced. Our first dance was definitely magical (Always by Bon Jovi) and the Hora was great. Even if I fell off twice before figuring out how to sit on a chair with a huge TRAIN and huge dress! We finally touched hands and kissed while on top of the chairs...can't wait to see that picture! The Hava Nagila was great I loved dancing it with everyone! My favorite songs of the evening definitely included those two, Michael Buble's Everything as Scott Yanney really I think does it even better than Michael, Empire State of Mind, and Black Eyed Peas I got a feeling!
Altogether the wedding was a success...who's in for next year in disney world? LOL just kidding...or am I?
